Four Barrel - San Francisco

"And sure, we’re gonna die someday. Even this stupid Web site will probably be obsolete by next year. But as long as we’re all together, let’s do the best we can to not suck. And lighten up; it’s only coffee, after all." - Four Barrel

Everything about Four Barrel made me feel like I was in a barrel - a very rustic, spacious and wonderfully crafted barrel floating with the aroma of freshly roasted beans.

Alright, it's an odd analogy.  But that's what you get when a space is crafted with some nice oak and you call it Four Barrel.

Anyway, I was obsessed with their space.  It just had such a warm feel and and it reflected a Texan-Western theme.  I love natural light and this structure had a whole lot of it pouring in through the front windows.

The coffee was fantastic.  I ordered an espresso machiatto and was not disappointed. They had two bars - one devoted to pour-overs alone and another bar for the standard drinks.  The baristas were so friendly and helpful.  I posted up at a bar that overlooked the roaster and all of the bins of coffee beans.

If I could have, I would have stayed long hours reading some type of novel. It was that kind of place.

But instead, I finished my drink, sipped on some of my Dad's mocha and then sampled my mom's latte with almond milk and became officially wired the night before my half marathon.

When will I ever learn to say no to coffee? Oh, that's right.

Never. 😈

Ps. Checked out their website & enjoyed this lil story about one of their baristas. I will be dabbling in video for this blog and this was some great inspiration.
