The coffee 'bloom' is how you can tell your coffee is fresh. It's the process where CO2 gasses are released from your beans. And you can see it happening. Soak your grounds in just boiled water in the filtered paper and if they don't fluff up or expand (hence "bloom") then they may have already degassed which means it's time for a new, freshly roasted batch☺️
